About Ellis Bates

Ellis is an undergraduate at Marist University studying Political Science and Global Studies. He is a Project Manager at the Marist Institute for Public Opinion (MIPO) and an Election Analysis Fellow at VoteHub.

At MIPO, Ellis works on data and survey research, while at VoteHub, he covers elections live and conducts post-election analysis and political research.

For Ellis, data is the medium, but turning it into a story is the technique that matters. He’s always looking for new ways to visualize facts and figures through a compelling, creative lens.
